Pinkie Pie with an all new mane and tail pattern and new eye designs! This is also my first time using a satin stitch for the lines in her mane. I think it makes them more defined, so I'll keep doing it. I think she turned out excellently. :) (Is that a word? It should be if it isn't.)

Not for sale!

I got caught up with my other projects and put her off to the side for awhile, but when I got back around to it, I enjoyed completing her. :)

Pinkie Pie was made with my own hand drafted patterns, and I don't give them out.

This is insanely beautiful, as is all of your work. :D If I might ask, what kind of stitch did you use for the detailing on Pinkie's mane and tail? I'm having a hard time finding a stitch that looks right.

Thank you so much!:) And I used a thin but full satin (zig zag) stitch. I don't remember the exact measurements, but it was stitches close enough to look like a complete line, and just about every sewing machine has a zig zag function, so you should be able to do something similar!:)

Ah, thanks so much! I'm working on my first pony right now (also a Pinkie Pie), and I'm such a noob. It's my first time even using a sewing machine, and I'm literally learning everything as I go. :-) Thanks again for the help!

Sooo much better than the official ones, and they go for 50 bucks a piece!

Which official ones are you talking about?

Those aren't official, I'm afraid. Those are bootlegs. Likely made in a factory in China somewhere on an assembly line, but not official. These are the official plushies: [link] [link]

They can still go for more on ebay than they are in stores, but to my knowledge, not 50 dollars. The big one with the fuzzy hair is like 30 bucks at toys r us and the little one with the ribbon hair is 5 bucks at target. There's also a larger version of that one at walmart for 10 dollars.

The bootlegs are usually poor attempts to copy the patterns of custom plush makers and make them in mass quantities. You can usually tell that they're bootlegs by things like the description where it says "Pinkie Pie is made of soft and cuddly hot pink curly fur and filled with fiberfill, super soft fleece for both body and mane/tail" which is false in that there is no curly fur material used, and also in that there is no fleece.

The tags are there to make you think they're real, official toys, but they aren't. Hopefully you didn't buy one before finding this out!

No, i didn't buy it. Funnily enough, the difference between yours and the real official ones is even greater than the diff between yours and the fake official ones.

hey,
I got a question for ya. Do you have any pattern/idea how to make the mane and tail of this adorable pinkie?
And if you have it, I would be really happy to use this. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!!
I'm working on a pinkie right now, but I have NO idea how to fix this...

Greetz!!
