Applejack Plushie by eebharas Applejack Plushie by eebharas
Applejack's body is made of Ultracuddle fabric, and her mane and tail are made of Minky. She stands all by herself and contains no wire! She's filled with polyester fiber fill and her mane and tail have some red transparent ribbon. Her eyes and cutie marks were machine embroidered and she has cutie marks on both sides. Her mane can be positioned on either side. Her hat is made of felt and has wire in the brim so it can be curled up. I also brushed the felt so that most of the seams can only be seen up close. Her hat will stay on by itself if she is standing up.

Not for sale.

Sorry, I'm not taking commissions.

Featured on an Equestria Daily Plushie Compilation!:D (I'm particularly excited about this.) [link]

You can send me a request, but keep in mind that my commission costs are not cheap and my ponies look very little like this now. (More recent images are in my gallery, and there is a link to my commission guidelines on my profile page! :))

Are the Eyes and the cutie mark handmade? Or made by a embroidery machine?

Nice work!

But she's already been sold!!

May I ask where you saw her? I keep getting notes about her, specifically, but I made her like 2 months ago...

Well thanks!:D And I'm surprised she's that easy to find! Surprised in a good way though:) With that much I'm sure you'll be able to find a good one, maybe even two! I'd suggest checking the my-little-plushie group, they have a ton of mlp plushies and many of them are still for sale. (ORRRR...You could wait for me to be finished with my new Applejack that I'll be making in the not-too-distant-future and bid on her when she's done...but I'm just saying...) But seriously, the try checking that group, you'll probably find a plush you like much quicker than waiting on me:)

I've been thinking about it. In my new pattern, and in all minky, but it's possible. I've got a few I've already planned to make before that though:)

I wasn't planning on it, because it didn't do as well on ebay as my first Fluttershy did (Apparently applejack isn't very popular, how sad is that?!) And I'm doing this for college money, so I have to go the finnancially smart route...Sorry! :/

I've been trying to decide on what I wanted to answer to this since yesterday. The problem being, I don't really know what my asking price would be. AND I've already told many people that I don't do commissions. I don't think it would be very fair to make an exception. I'm sorry...:/

That's the best shade of orange I've ever seen on an AJ plushie! O: And the plushie as a whole is adorable to boot :D

Question about cuddle fleece- anything I should know before pinning/cutting/sewing it? I happened upon some Luna blue cuddle fleece and I'd hate to wreck it just because I've never worked with the stuff before.

Yes, I've seen that color, I'm considering making a luna pretty soon.:) And yes, there's definitely a few things you should know. 1: if you're going to be using it, you're going to get fuzzies everywhere. I really mean everywhere. I probably inhaled a great deal more than I should have in a lifetime. 2: It stretches a lot. Get some cotton embroidery interfacing (they sell it at walmart in the fabric section, and at joann's with the rest of the interfacing) and make sure it's the kind that you iron on. Iron that onto the side you won't be using of the fabric. It will make your fabric cost go up, but it will also make your plushie much more durable and it will look better too. If you don't use it, there's a good chance your machine will try to eat the fabric, and mine tore it a ton, too. 3: Don't cut it with scissors. Cut it using a mat and rotary cutter. Not only will your shapes come out better and you'll limit the fuzzies a little, but it will tear the edges of your shape so much less, allowing for less unraveling. Hope that helped, sorry for the wall of text!

Aww thank you! C:

I'm gonna save the cuddle fleece for when I get the hang of making a proportional pony pattern, but if there's enough left over I may make the Luna blob outta the cuddle fleece (I'll probs use regular fleece or minky otherwise)

:iconeebharas:
eebharas Featured By Owner Jan 18, 2012  Student Artisan Crafter
Well I would actually do that a different way. Minky is a more expensive material, so wouldn't you want to save it for when you get a proportional pattern down?

Oh wow, that orange color is STUNNING. <3 You mentioned the body was ultracuddle fabric -- is that just the orange ultracuddle fleece?

:iconeebharas:
eebharas Featured By Owner Jan 16, 2012  Student Artisan Crafter
Yes. They sell it at Joann's. I think it's just the basic orange, but it works really well for AJ! Also, if you intend to make a plushie with it, be aware of what side you're using! One is softer and lighter than the other.

:icongabapple:

Thank you! I'll look for it. I want to make a cat plush, and that orange appears to be (from the photo) absolutely perfect - both for what I want and, as you said, for AJ. :)

Beautiful work!

Well I take my photos outside so that the color you see is as close to the true color as is possible! And yes, I can see it being perfect for a cat! The side I use is the one with the longer fibers, and that's probably what you'd want to use too. Be warned, the fabric sheds everywhere! Oh, and you may want to use some iron-on embroidery interfacing, even if you wont be embroidering it. The fabric likes to rip, this stabilizes it.
